English proficiency– You are not required to give proof of English language proficiency if: You studied at an English language institution for at least 3 years at the secondary level; OR you studied at an English language institution for at least one year at the post-secondary level.

- Dalhousie awards more than 2,000 entrance awards to our first year class
- Students admitted directly from high school must apply to the general entrance award program
- Transfer and mature students are considered for scholarships after completing one year of study
- By completing this single application, students are considered for the majority of our entrance scholarships and bursaries
- Students must submit a transcript of their Grade 12 first-semester finals (or up-to-date official transcript if the applicant’s high school is not semestered)
- Must submit all supporting documentation as required by optional sections within the General Entrance Award application (e.g., Notices of Assessment, medical documentation, etc.)
